The Mercedes-Benz Club of Victoria (MBCV) was formed in Melbourne in December 1970 to cater for the many and varied interests of Mercedes-Benz owners. The club has the official approval of Mercedes-Benz and is a member of Mercedes-Benz Club Management a division of the Mercedes-Benz Museum.
Activities include: motoring events such as rallies, economy runs, garage days, picnics and barbecues, restaurants and dinner dances. The pre-eminent event for the club is the annual Concours d’Elegance where members display their Mercedes-Benz vehicles at their glorious best. Trophies are awarded for the best presented cars and there is always an outstanding array of vehicles on show.
General meetings are usually held on the evening of the first Monday of the month (except January) at the Mulgrave Country Club, corner Wellington and Jells Roads, Wheelers Hill (please check the events calendar to confirm meeting dates and venues) . At our meetings we cover general business, technical matters, social and motoring events and guest speakers. A lively discussion ensues over supper.
A 36 page printed magazine Around The Benz, which is posted to members each month contains Club news, personal glimpses, news of coming and past events and news from Mercedes-Benz. Of particular interest are the various Register pages containing news and technical information, invaluable to owners restoring or preserving their cars.
